As part of the PearlDiving Residency, these 2-hour workshops offer an experiential window into Maree ReMalia | merrygogo’s latest project in development, A Letter Compiled From All Letters, through which the artists seek creative antidotes for sharing stories and considering modes of communication in a digital age. Participants are guided through warm ups drawing from the Gaga movement language and somatic and improvisational methods based in dance and theater. Following the warm up, the group engages in generative explorations and ways of interacting with projected images from the artistic teams process, which include movement, sound, text, writing, and video imagery. The approach is playful, inquisitive, and nonjudgmental; all are welcome ages 16+, no previous experience is necessary. These events are free and open to the public.
