Fostering mental health awareness in the dance field
Conversation Facilitator : Kathleen McGuire Gaines
Join Kathleen McGuire Gaines, founder of Minding The Gap for an informal conversation about the unique mental health needs and stresses of dance. While dancers do an excellent job of keeping our bodies in peak condition, our efforts are often to the detriment of our emotional well-being. How do you remain resilient in a culture that celebrates a 'leave it at the door' mentality? Come prepared to participate as little or as much as you would like. All you need to bring is an open heart. Learn more about Kathleen and this movement by visiting www.WeAreMindingTheGap.org.
