ABOUT THE WORKS

--PROPOSITION FOR REHEARSING DEATH--
Proposition for Rehearsing Death is an ongoing project between Li(sa E.) Harris, a sound composer and Georgia Wall, a movement based composer. The project is based on a simple gesture of falling which intended to be an embodied investigation of surrender as well as a metaphoric rehearsal for death. The simple choreography offers a meditative and repeatable blueprint for both individuals and groups of people to engage with. The project asks: What is it that we are mourning? What do we need to let go? And how can we be embodied witnesses to the many people who have already lost their lives as a way of coming to terms with our own mortality?

--LINKt--
LINKt is a duet by Joy-Marie Thompson and collaborator and performer Sherah Shipman. LINKt continues the artists' exploration of two bodies being bound by a tangible object. The task of the piece is to then narrate an escape to freedom. With all of that said, the intention of the piece will always be left up to the viewer. The creators of the dance welcome all interpretations of what they watch.
