Tatiana will teach fundamental house steps and variations on those steps that will give dancers the tools to spice up and improve their freestyle. Learn to develop your dance without separating the top part from the bottom part of the body and the technique from your groove. The groove constitutes one of the fundamental of this discipline, it is the soul, the heart and the identity of the dancer. Learn to make your movements fluid and more organic with Tatiana’s method of "technique within your flow".

In this class, dancers will explore how the basic foundations of Indian dance styles (folk, classical, and more), can infuse new possibility, awareness, and energy into urban dance forms. In bringing these art forms together, you'll focus on some fundamentals in Indian classical/folk movements (hand gestures & footwork), grooves and flow, style, demonstration through choreography, and of course sharing and FUN!

This class will introduce students to the concept of creatively moving up and down from the floor, while learning some foundational breaking vocabulary. If you want to expand your knowledge of the original hip hop dance style, and explore more options of floor work to incorporate into any style, then don’t miss this class! The concepts in this class will influence contemporary, house, locking, popping, etc. No experience necessary.

If you like the dance in Beyoncé and Rhianna music videos this is the class for you! Kontara teaches an up-rock, commercial hip-hop dance class with a touch of drama.
